Let's kick the new week off with great news.. we will release DEATHBED's next album sometime in 2009! The band has been writing new songs through the year and will soon tour Finland with DIE YOUNG (TX), and after that Germany on their own. All the members of DEATHBED are our old friends and all of them have played in bands that we have released in the past, so it feels good to continue doing stuff together - bands like this are the reason why we started doing the label in the first place, and continue doing it to this day! KAKKA-H€T€ 77 will play 3 shows with PELLE MILJOONA UNABOMBER and TUMPPI VARONEN & PROBLEMS next weekend - go check out when the old and not-as-old-yet generations of finnish punk rock meet!

I WALK THE LINE's "Desolation Street" LP will be re-released soon by COMBAT ROCK INDUSTRY and Germany's ROOKIE RECORDS. It will hit the stores in November on transparent red wax!

I WALK THE LINE just got back from their best tour so far, thanks again to everyone involved! Next up is a tour in Finland together with DISCO ENSEMBLE, who just received a gold record for their second album - pretty crazy!

VICTIMS will do a short tour in Germany with DISFEAR in the end of October, and will also return to Finland in the beginning of December!

We will release a new album called "Implosion" from Sweden's SMALLTOWN soon! We had been listening to their previous record a lot at the office and when they asked if we wanted to do the next one, well.. yes!!! This will be a co-release with DERANGED in North America so it should be easily available all around the world.. you can now check out the cover art and two songs on SMALLTOWN's MySpace Profile. Welcome to the Combat Rock family guys!

BOMBSHELL ROCKS will play two shows in Czech Republic next weekend and will also return to Japan for a tour in late October!

Finally an update, it's taken way too long.. a lot has happened since the last time, both good and bad.. our shop/office was burgled AGAIN, we lost another computer, this time the one with the book-keeping and there internet things and so on.. it was summer so we also had to take it easy here and there.. and when we were at the office we were busting our asses with all kinds of shit - working on old, new and upcoming releases from old and new bands, new projects.. so, calm before the storm!! Here's an update of what's new in the CRI camp, now i am leaving for the I WALK THE LINE european tour - hope to see you somewhere along the way! After the tour there will be exciting news about all kinds of things..

Since the last update, we have released records from KARANTEENI, LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT and ROTTEN SOUND, pick them up if you haven't already - many of you have, thanks so much for that!

ABDUKTIO's current album "Thermidor" has received nothing but rave reviews in the Finnish media and also sold remerkably well here - not many people know this band outside Finland because of the language or whatever but do yourself a favor and check them out!

ANOTHER SINKING SHIP's debut album "Legacy" is still not out because of problems with the artwork - can't make any promises about the release anymore but hopefully someday, because it's an amazing record and will be worth the wait when it's out - if you were a fan of MANIFESTO JUKEBOX or WASTED, ANOTHER SINKING SHIP will surely make you happy!

THE HEARTBURNS's amazing "Fixin' To Die" album is still on heavy rotation here.. we will be releasing a compilation of their many sold out 7"s some time in the future!

I WALK THE LINE are about to leave for yet another European tour in support of their much acclaimed "Black Wave Rising" album this week - check them out, the band is on fire!

ROTTEN SOUND's latest album "Cycles" is now available on limited edition vinyl, and the band will be touring with the mighty CARCASS in the US soon - how cool is that?!?!

The VICTIMS' "Killer" album has only been out for a couple of months but is already one of our best selling releases ever, and for a reason! After a slight break, VICTIMS will be on tour all over the place soon..

During the last years, Antti and Ville Rönkkö have mostly been busy with I WALK THE LINE, but in November their first well known band WASTED will do a tour in Finland with ANOTHER SINKING SHIP and HERO DISHONEST!

ANOTHER SINKING SHIP posted two amazing songs from their upcoming album "Legacy" on their MySpace profile - go check them out now! ANOTHER SINKING SHIP will be opening for VOODOO GLOW SKULLS in Turku and THE UNSEEN in Helsinki next month!

KARANTEENI's new song Rantarokki has now been posted on their MySpace profile - check out this punk rock feel good anthem of this summer! It will be available on 7" vinyl with another kick ass track called ADHD on the flipside!

ROTTEN SOUND will play at the HELLFEST in France next weekend - they will also be appearing at the mighty ROSKILDE FESTIVAL in the beginning of June. Their latest album "Cycles" will finally be available on vinyl later in July!

Lots of time has pased since the last update.. and we have lots of exciting news as well!

We will release ROTTEN SOUND's latest album "Cycles" on vinyl next month! It will be a gategold package, with limited edition clear vinyl for direct mail-order! Pre-orders will be available soon.
If you are into extreme music at all, you should be familiar with this band already.. if not, check them out now - it's a most explosive combination of grindcore/metal and punk/hardcore! ROTTEN SOUND are always touring all around the place, check out their homepage for the latest news and music!

ABDUKTIO and LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT will play with STRIKE ANYWHERE in Helsinki next Tuesday! LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT have also just recorded the music for the upcoming "Misantropic Humanist" 7"+DVD set.

ANOTHER SINKING SHIP's debut album "Legacy" has now been mixed and sounds just great!! The album will be released on in June on LP/CD on CRI and on CD for Eastern Europe on OSK Records who have also been co-operating with us on I WALK THE LINE, ABDUKTIO and MANIFESTO JUKEBOX albums. ANOTHER SINKING SHIP will tour mainland Europe for the first time in September!

I WALK THE LINE are leaving for the first European tour after the release of "Black Wave Rising" next week. Maukka of THE HEARTBURNS will be filling in on drums because IWTL drummer Jussi at the moment suffering from serious health problems, needs to have a surgery and can't do anything for a while now.. he should be OK in a couple of weeks though!

In other I WALK THE LINE news, "Black Wave Rising" is out now also in the UK and has received positive attention in the music press already - it got 7/10 in the current issue of NME and 3/5 in Kerrang!

Combat Rock Shop has been robbed last night through the back door! Along with cash-sales of the last few days we lost a Dell laptop and random stuff like a bunch of DVDs, all 7" from the letter S on, loads of Draven shoes.. fuck!! So if your local junk pusher offers you stuff like Severed Head Of State 7"s you know something might be wrong..

ANOTHER SINKING SHIP will open for NO USE FOR A NAME in Helsinki next Sunday - in fact they're doing a tour of Helsinki this weekend as they are playing small shows also on Friday and Saturday! So go check them out and get a preview of the kick-ass songs from their upcoming debut album "Legacy"!

KAKKA-HÄTÄ 77 have finally recorded a bunch of new songs!!! Stay tuned for news about the release(s) soon..

VICTIMS will leave for their tour of the US/Canada next week, check out the dates and make sure to catch them live if you are around, the band is in killer shape!! We are down to the very last copies of the limited red vinyl of their amazing new album. The CD was sold out for a while but we just got the re-press, it's still packaged in a cool 8-panel digipak!

LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT have posted a blog on their homepage about their future plans.. in June we will release a 7"+DVD set called "Misanthropic Humanist" - this will be the first LHP recoding with new drummer Lauri. More about this and a lot of other stuff here : lighthouseproject.net

ANOTHER SINKING SHIP have finished recording their much anticipated debut album "The Legacy" - already the raw mixes sound really good! You can check out a song called Inches on their MySpace profile right HERE.

Then a bunch of I WALK THE LINE news - Black Wave Rising entered the national charts at #20 the week it was released - and this was a really hard week with lots of big new releases, the only ”alternative” bands ahead of IWTL were In Flames and REM, the others are really big finnish mainsteam bands/artists..

IWTL will play at the Columbia Club in Berlin on Friday April 25th with Disco Ensemble etc and will also do a short tour in Germany in May, check out the dates now!
