So, time for another update what we've been up to.... We have a couple of news for you here. First of all, we're a 4-piece band again. Tapsa decided to quit the band and concentrate on other things in his life. Sad but true... We're not going to have anyone replacing him for several reasons - mainly because it's really frustrating to teach the old songs to the new guy and just repeat those old songs when you'd rather be making new songs instead. Then, it's really hard to find anyone who would fit so geat to the band as the previous guitarists we've had so far. All of them have been and still are good friends of ours.... Well, we managed the first four years of the band with just one guitar and it worked out just fine, so why not now!?

Another thing is that we're not on Lifeforce anymore. Things just didn't work out as planned so both parties agreed that it'd be best to continue on our own ways. So, what's our new label then? Combat Rock Industry of course!! This way we really know what's going on and have more power to decide what to do with our records and distribution. Stupid punks as we
are, big labels don't seem to suit us too well, haha. So also on this case, we're moving more back to where we started from and really think where we belong to!

We're going to hit the studio again in June and will record still untitled album to be released in September/October. Soon after that we'll take our brothers in Lighthouse Project with us and first hit the roads of Finland and right after that, to Europe. Really looking forward to this all!! That's it for now. Take a good care everyone, much love

- The Four Idiots.

We would like to thank everyone who we met on our 4 day trip around Southern Finland for making it such an amazing time. Special thanks go out to Mikael, Majakka Boys, xMaster Hietanenx, Mr. Anger and the crazy crew from Jyväskylä who always has the energy to travel hundreds of kilometres and mosh like there's no tomorrow.

Summer is over but it treated us well! A lot of shows all over Europe in a few months but all those kilometres only made us hungry for more. Thanks again for all the great people who shared the stage, dinner table, laugh, kicker game or something else fun with us. Good times!

We played a show last week in Helsinki but it was the only one for this month due to bandmembers' other passions in life. This doesn't mean that we've fallen into silence - we've started writing new songs and we're damn excited about it. We'll be back on stage in October for a few shows, check out the dates on "shows" section.

And yeah, it's been a long time since the last update but from this day on, this web page is going to be the first place for the latest news about the band. At the moment some sections are still as old as my grandma but everything will be updated in a few weeks.

-Tapio

Fuckin' A!!! Endstand skateboards are here!!! Crazy, huh!? Our friends at Tikari Hateboards were dumb enough to make such things and of course we are so damn excited about this all... We'll try to have them with us on tour, but if you can't wait that long, you can get them here:
http://lamina.fi/shop/?brand=54

For the kids into record collecting: The new album of ours will be released in a couple of weeks and Combat Rock Industry is doing the vinyl version of that. There's 200 copies made on clear vinyl for mailorder only - meaning you can only get them directly from Combat Rock. In case you're interested, please mail: kauppa@fireinsidemusic.com for further information.
That's it for now. See you soon on the road!!

All this silence here hasn’t meant that we haven’t been active… We have, lots of things have happened since the last update so here we go:
The tour in November/December went really well, had a great time and even managed to avoid all the problems on the road. Thanks to everyone involved on that tour for making it such a success!!

Soon after we came back home, we went to studio to record a new album. Spent two weeks in December at Astia Studios recording and mixing the album and we’re still so damn excited for the result! Somehow it all sounds so much more intense and fresh than ever before... Wait a bit more and you’ll hear the new album ‘The Time Is Now’. In case you don’t wait to wait, you can check out few songs from Lifeforce website where they have four song e-card for your pleasure:) www.lifeforcerecords.com
The new album will be released in Germany on May 7th, the rest of the Europe will get their hands on that goodie on May 10th. The Time Is Now CD will be licenced for Finland by Combat Rock Industry who alse will release the vinyl version worldwide.
Of course a new album means more touring. Check out the gigs-section for the tourdates... There’s more dates to come, we’ll try to post them here also as soon as possible...

There’s been a small change in our line-up lately: Juho isn’t playing the second guitar with us anymore. It became impossible for him to fit his schedules with his medical studies, his other band Presley Bastards and our hectic touring plans. So we came to a conclusion it was better him to concentrate on things he feels that are most important for him – Presley Bastards is the band he’s making the songs for so obviously he feels that band was more of his ‘own’ than we are. There’s no big drame involved in this member change either. We’re still good friends with Juho and are very grateful for everything he did with us!! Juho still played on the new album and will do a bunch of the record release shows here in Finland with us, but we have a new guy replacing him now. The guy is called Tapio, or Tapsa as most of us know him. Tapsa is a long time friend of ours for playing in the bands we’ve rocked with for years. The bands he’s played in before are Defend, Rebound, Security Threat (also our drummer’s ex-band) and the almighty On A Solid Rock. He seems to be excited for being in the band and we are excited to have new blood in again to kick our old asses a bit, haha.
Speaking about being old.... Well, guess we are getting old since we’ve been doing this band for 10 years now! This year is our tenth year of existence, crazy!! To celebrate this all we’re doing an anniversary show in Helsinki April 22nd at an all-ages venue called Nosturi. We wanted to have some friends with whom we’ve have some history with sharing the stage with us on that special show. Even managed to get our oldtime friends from Sweden, Outlast to play one show and celebrate with us!!! In case you didn’t know, we did our first shows ever with Outlast, released a split 7” with them, toured Europe together and played several local shows in Sweden and Finland with Outlast. So it’s great to have them there, can’t wait to see them once more – those guys just rule!!! Other bands playing that evening are Manifesto Jukebox, Wasted and Lighthouse Project. Pre-sale for that show has already started at:
www.tiketti.fi
and
www.lippupalvelu.fi
Hope to see you all there!! Heard that there’s going to be a bunch of people traveling for that show all the way from Sweden, Germany and Austria – some people are crazy, huh?
That’s it for now. See you soon on the road. Check out ‘The Time Is Now’ when it’s out!!

Much love,
-Janne & other morons.
