So, we're off for the tour now! Been waiting this tour to happen for a long time. It's been a year since the last proper tour, feels like an eternity... Be prepared for even tighter shows from us. We are in a good shape now:) Check out the dates from the 'shows' section.

I wrote about being signed to a new label earlier... Well, now it's official: We will do our next couple of albums for LIFEFORCE RECORDS. I know thay are known as more like a metal label, but we know the guy running the label for ages now since he released our first MCD and first album on his previous label, Impression. He's been trying to convince us to get back to him a while now and this time it felt like a worth the try. They do have better distribution and promotion than we've ever had before, so i'm looking forward to what this all will bring to us. It's still the same band, just a different channel releasing our music, though.
We will hit the studio soon after the tour and the planned release for the new album in Europe is late March 2006, the rest of the world a bit later.

So, i'm off to pack my stuff & hit the road again. See you all soon!!

Yeehaa!

Soon the Summer is gone, meaning we can activate again! No more busy schedules at work for some of us, just rocking out as much as we can. Finally we can get our asses to play shows + start composing the new songs properly. The composing has been very slow so far due to lack of time. Lots of new ideas for a great songs, beware. The plan is to record in December and release a new album on a new label (to be announced soon) in March 2006!
Before that, we'll do some touring: First we'll go to Germany for five shows in September. Paint The Town Red actually wanted us to play at their farewell show, which is a great honour to us as we all really like the band! Sad that they quit, but at least we get to be a part of their last night together... To cover the expenses for that trip, we'll play few other shows, too:

Fri 09.09.2005 Rudolstädt, Saalgaerten + Burning Skies
Sat 10.09.2005 Schweinfurt, Trainspotting Festival (Afternoon Show)
Sat 10.09.2005 München, Backstage PTTR Farewell Show + Bridge To Solace...
Sun 11.09.2005 Dessau, Beatclub
Mon 12.09.2005 Berlin, Wild at Heart

So all of our German friends, make sure to come and support us!

In November we'll do a bit longer tour around Europe. That tour is booked by Avocado. People willing to help us with shows, please get in touch with:
nanouk@avocado-booking.com

That's it for now. More news soon:) Love

Wow, it's actually happening; Heaven Shall Burn will do a cover of our very old song 'Destroy Fascism' on their upcoming splitCD with Caliban! The split will be released on 26th of July on Lifeforce Records.

We recorded that song for our first MCD released on Impression Music who became Lifeforce Records afterwards. The MCD has been sold out for a long time, so most of you don't probably have it and therefor haven't heard the song. Suppose i don't have to say that HSB-version is way heavier than ours was, haha. Just heard the song and it was fucking amazing! This is a big honour, since we all really like Heaven Shall Burn. check out the split when it's out!

Ciao everyone

It's been rather quiet in the Endstand-camp lately due to the members' active life outside of Rock'n'Roll-circles. We haven't really played that many songs and that's pretty much the first time we've had this slow times in the existence of the band - so you can imagine the itch to get to rock out is huge! Well, we will get the ball slowly rolling again and start playing shows again. After the Summer we'll get more serious, but there's some activity coming up anyway. Mainly in Finland for now, but in the Fall, we'll tour Europe again. More about that s soon as we know more ourselves.

There's lots of new material in the works now. The plan is to record a new album in December. Hopefully we can stick to that plan, since the stuff there's been coming lately sounds so damn good!

Uh, seems like everyone is somehow involved in MySpace nowadays and so are we! Check us out at: www.myspace.com/endstand -There should be some different mp3's than here is soon. Become a friend - we know there's lots of you around there.

That's it for now. Take care of yourselves, be good

Aloha!
It seems that we manage to burn our drummers out every fourth year – Henkka is not playing with us anymore. There’s no big drama involved with him parting ways with us. Our musical goals just weren’t the same anymore and he quit in good terms with us. We can’t thank him enough for these four years he shared with us. Henkka is an awesome guy, a good friend for us even if he’s not playing with us anymore. We shared great memories with him, including tours in crazy places like pretty much whole Eastern Europe and Japan.

But, this is not the end of the band! We have a drummer now. His name is Pekka, previously he’s played in more metallic hardcore band called Security Threat. Pekka is amazing drummer and hilarious dude overall. He brought lots of new energy to the band! Can’t wait until we get to write new material with him… Due to Pekka’s commitments to his studies and work, we can’t really tour before the end of this year. That means we’ll just do shows in Finland and try to practice as much as possible to get everything perfect. Hope our foreign friends can live without us a while – the wait will be wrth it, we’ll come back stronger than ever! That’s a promise…

That’s it for now. More news when there’s something to tell you about:) Take care, yours

So, we got back from another European tour a week ago. 4 weeks on the road, one day off. This tour was definately the best one so far! Pretty much every show was a blast - rather much people & the response we got from the kids was overwhelming. Thanks a lot for everyone who came to see us sweating and looking stupid. And of course we want to thank all the people who helped us with the shows, sleeping places, feeding us etc. It's just so amazing how much cool people there is all around Europe! Our webmaster & slave for designing + all the other shite Ville Anger was on tour with us and he took shitloads of pictures on the road. So expect some sort of documentary of the tour soon...

Oh yeah - our new album has been out a couple of months now. People have liked it a lot, which is nice:) Well, that's the best recording we've done, so it's nice to get so good response for it. If you can't find it anywhere else, you can at least order it from us or Day After.

Take a good care of yourselves!
-Janne/Endstand

Fuck, it always takes too long to keep you guys updated with what's going on with us, sorry!
So, we recorded a new album early June. 10 new songs, more aggressive stuff to be expected than on the previous album. You can check out a couple of songs on the mp3 section - hope you'll like them:) The album was recorded at magnificent Astia Studio again. Anssi Kippo did a wonderful job, whipping out the best of us. Burning Bridges is the title of the album and will be released mid September by Day After - beware... If you want a preview of the cover, go to Anger's site: www.angerdesign.com

Straight after the release we will hit the road again. First we'll tour Finland and right after that we'll tour Europe again. Dates will be found at the Shows-section.

Some of you might have heard that we had to cancel some of the shows early June because Henkka got injured badly on a football game. He crashed with some other dude and broke his rib and somehow ended up with half a liter of blood in his lung. Doesn't sound too nice to me... Now he's back on his feet and we've been playing shows again. Actually we just got back from a short tour to Central Europe. Played few festivals and some club shows on the way. Fluff Fest in Czech Republic was one hell of an event! Thanks to all the kids who went crazy when we played - that evening was just so damn amazing! Well, so were the other shows too, but that one just stood out the way we like it to be.

We also have some new promo pics taken by Ville Anger. Also there's more promo pics coming soon, taken by a nice lady in Belgium called Cindy Frey. We had a session with her just before the last show of the tour at the smallest club in Europe, the Pit's.

Yeah, heard that there's people in Germany with Endstand tattoos! We'd like to get a pic of every each of them on our site, so please spread the word so we can get those here somehow, ok?

That's it for now. Hope to see you all somewhere soon. Take it easy kids, love - Janne & Endstand morons.

Endstand can't play their shows at forthcoming weekend at Helsinki & Turku. Henkka is in hospital because the injuries he got at football match...

Uh, it's been a while since last news update, sorry!

Well, in January we went to Japan to do 10 shows. That was incredible experience! After touring Europe so many times, it was so cool to get to see something completely different. The shows weren't that big and there was no hysteric girls screaming after us, like all the Finnish metal bands told us there would be, haha. We toured with an awesome band 1000 Travels of Jawahrlal - check them out, thay fucking rock! Their vocalist/guitarist Kojak got us to Japan and booked the whole tour, so big thanks and all our gratitude to him!

After Japan we haven't been doing that many shows. There's couple of reasons for that - first, i got a son 18th of February and wanted to stay more home to get to know that beautiful boy and to support my wife with getting used to the new life. It's been so nice to watch that little boy doing the small things he's cabable to do. Second reason for the lack of shows is that we're writing new material for the next album! That should be recorded sometime in May and released in late Summer by Day After again. Most of the songs are done now, just missing the vocals and i must say those songs sound good - how else:) If you like the latest release of ours 'Hit and Run' EP, you'll love the next album. It's in the same vein, with more progressed songwriting. Less pop, more heaviness to be expected...the way i like it.

We will soon have new shirts & hoodeds. Check out Combat Rock's webstore once again... More touring to be expected late Summer & then again sometime in Autumn. We'll keep you posted.

-Janne.

Hello again!

It's been a while since the latest update and quite a lot has happened during this Autumn; we did the Finland-tour with Sunride and it was a success! Lots of people at almost every show and the response was very good for both of the bands. I still find it amazing that two so different bands from different "scenes" can tour together and pull it off well...

Straight after those Finnish dates we headed back to central Europe with our shitty van loaded with new EPs that we got the day before the tour; good timing, huh? Manifesto Jukebox toured with us all the time and we went to Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Czech Republic. 30 shows, of which most were really great. So, our sincere gratitude to everyone who attented to the shows and had a good time during us rocking, people who set up the shows and fed us + gave us a place to crash. Again we got to meet lots of old friends and even made some new ones; greetings to you all! You are greatly missed, see you again on our tours next year!

This tour was the first one with our new guitarist Juho and things just worked out great with him. We all seem to be happy with each other, so hopefully this line-up will remain long long time. Now we will take it a bit easier show-wise and try to get some new material together, so we can get a new album out, hopefully Summer 2004. Day after will release it and fucking Jason Farrell will do the artwork, yep! Well, before the studio we will play some shows, 4 shows with our dear friends from Sweden, Nine in December. In January we will got to Japan for around 10 shows; that's something we all are so damn excited about. After touring Europe 8 or 9 times, it's so amazing to get to see something completely different. Can't wait to get there! After that there's only one show booked, that's with Sick Of It All when they come to Finland for the first time in early March.

What else? We have some funny merchandise available; Skateboard wheels made by our friends and Tikari skateboard company, keyrings and some shirts left from the tour. Check out Combat Rock's webstore for that all. Yeah, and don't forget to check out the new EP if you get a chance. People say it's awesome, so you should believe them!

That's it for now, folks. Remember to be good, adios!

Hello everyone!

Time for another update to inform what's been going on in Endstand's world. We played the first couple of shows with Juho and it feels really fucking good! Just like he had been with us forever. That dude really rocks!

A coule of days ago we got our new recording finished. It's going to be released in September on Combat Rock Industry. The plans about the format have changed - it'll be a 12" EP and a MCD. 4 songs of most intense and tight Endstand ever. We are so damn happy with the result. Somehow things just clicked on their places and we managed to create one hell of a record. an mp3 of the song 'Fall' can me checked out here

So, now we are getting ready for a very busy Autumn. We will play every weekend of September around Finland and straight after those shows we will hit central Europe again. Check out the new EP when it's out & come to see us somewhere on Autumn's tours. Take care,

Janne / Endstand

We have a new guitarplayer! Jani is going to move to Sweden to live with his loved one, so we had to part our ways. Thanks to Jani for the year and half he spent with us, lots of great memories were made! There's no anykind of schism between the band and Jani, we still are good friends with each other. Who's the new guy then? He's called Juho and plays also in another band called Presley Bastards. Juho is a little brother of the new Manifesto Jukebox bassist and the designer/webmaster of this site, Ville. So he was found from the 'family'. We had the first rehearsal with Juho last week and it worked out great, so things look good again...

The rest of this year seems to be busy for us with more and more shows coming up. More dates will be updated on this site all the time. We will record the forthcoming EP in few weeks in the same studio as we used for the recording of the both albums we've done. Good and heavy production to be expected... And good songs of course, haha.

Kids, it seems that we are actually going to Japan! That's so fucking amazing. After touring Europe for about 8 times, it feels good to get to a totally new environment and culture. We all are very excited about this opportunity, as you could probably guess already. The tour will happen in mid or late January 2004 and we will be touring with another amazing Day After band, 1000 Travels To Jawaharlal

Ok, the sun is shining after a long long time, so it's time to go out. All the best to you all,

-Janne / Endstand

Howdy everyone.

Heh, it's been only 6 months since the last update, so maybe i should tell a bit what's up with Endstand... We've taken it pretty easy after the long long tour last fall, just played a few shows and rehearsed a bit. We have some new songs done and couple more waiting for the vocals to be done. Some of those new songs will end up on the 7" we will release in September on Combat Rock Industry. Soon after the release of that EP we will hit the roads of Europe once again with our good friends Manifesto Jukebox, who will also release an EP for the tour. The tour is almost booked and looks fucking amazing - Can't wait to get to rock out properly again!

Here's the plan before the Fall tour with Manifesto Jukebox: Some shows in Finland during the summer, hit the studio in August, fly to Germany in late August to play at the Endless Summer festival somewhere near Leipzig with at least Anti-Flag + many others. While in germany, we will also play 3 other shows somewhere on the way to the festival and back. The dates will be posted here as soon as we get them. In September we will do somekind of Finland tour with our dear friends Sunride. It'll be awesome to get to rock out with them again!! They play pretty different music than we do, but they fucking rock and are awesome people, that matters more than fitting to a certain genre - right folks? Here's the dates we have booked so far, many many more to come..:

21/08 rote flora | hamburg + strengh approach
22/08 endless summer festival | dessau -> http://www.end-less-summer.de
23/08 baracke | muenster - baracke
24/08 ajz | neubrandenburg + petrograd -> http://www.ajz-nb.de

Also there's some new shirts available and hopefully buttons and other useless crap for you to consume. Check out the merchandise-section. That's about it this time. Feel free to get in touch & remember to come and check us out when we hit the town near you. Take a good care of yourselves, love

-Janne / Endstand.
