Highly sought-after and omnipresent in Killed By Death punk's collectors list worldwide, "Pussy For Sale" is the debut LP by the longest running Japanese punk band ever. Originally dated 1984 and self-released by the band on their AA records, "Pussy For Sale" was the out-of-cell-time for the 80's whole Japanese Hardcore movement: between the blown-out fuzz and metallic thrash styling’s of such contemporaries as GISM, CONFUSE and Lipcream, there was Laughin’ Nose, to break things up and take the edge off things with their own enthusiastic brand of up-tempo, energetic and anthemic Punk Rock with a strong anti-PC connotation. This is a MUST for any Japanese Punk Collector!
Six of the fifteen songs were unreleased at the time ("Hairspray Queen", "Aero Zeppelin", "Big Long Now", "Been A Son", "(New Wave) Polly" and "Aneurysm"). Different versions of "Been a Son" and "Aneurysm" had been released on the Blew EP (1989) and the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" single (1991), respectively.
"Dive" and "Sliver" were released on the "Sliver" single in 1990.
"Stain" was released on the Blew EP.
The three cover songs, "Turnaround" (Devo), "Molly's Lips" and "Son of a Gun" (The Vaselines) were released on the Hormoaning EP in 1992.
"Mexican Seafood" appeared on the Teriyaki Asthma Volume 1 compilation (1989), and "Beeswax" appeared on the Kill Rock Stars compilation (1991).
"Downer" appears on most versions of Nirvana's debut album Bleach (1989). However, since it did not appear on all versions of the album, it was included on Incesticide.
Short-lived side project of Tomas Jonsson from Anti Cimex, Shitlickers is, according to most, the quintessence of hardcore punk: youthful, aggressive and mean: Featuring both their 1982 self-financed singles "GBG 1982" and "Cracked Cop Skulls" this long-awaited 8 tracker gives a little justice to this obscure all-swedish legend in distorted 80's hardcore.
Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll is the sixth album by American punk rock band Social Distortion. It is their first studio album in eight years, since the release of White Light, White Heat, White Trash in 1996, the longest gap between Social Distortion's studio albums to date. The album was originally scheduled to be released in the fall of 2000, but was not yet completed, and it was officially released on September 28, 2004. A great deal of the album is a musical eulogy to former guitarist Dennis Danell, who died in 2000.
In Vancouver's long and glorious history of punk rock, nobody was any more punk, or any more rockin' than the Subhumans. Subhumans gigs were a riot, sometimes literally; years later, their records still seethe with raw power. The Subhumans were angry and hilarious, often simultaneously, the living embodiment of everything that was great about punk rock, circa 1978-82. On this date in 1980, The Subhumans released their self-titled debut EP. It was their second record. The four tracks were "Death Was Too Kind", "Fuck You", "Inquisition Day" and "Slave to My Dick". The only track to appear on their debut album, Incorrect Thoughts, was "Slave to My Dick" which also appeared on the legendary hardcore punk compilation, Let Them Eat Jellybeans.
