ON THE BRINK
7"

A little boy is ready to go, grabs a gun and then goes to war. Standing strong and proud with his uniform, he pays obeisance to the flag. Little does he know where he’s heading, sure doesn’t the one who was troublebound. He’s trying to make it all up for becoming a cop. Some try to find the truth in a syringe, a glasspipe or a bottle of booze. Some turn to god, religion, flag or the books of the hypocrites’ lies. It’s an escape for no matter the cost. Sometimes the cost may be your life. The choice is yours, you’re paying the price. The streets are burning tonight. I’m not from your world. No, I’m not the one.

The lies are becoming stronger than the truth, no questions, no answers, just deny. We are giving the power to somebody else. No control over our own lives. The cities are building, they are covering it up. It won’t make the problems go away. Shine on the outside, rot on the inside. Turn it inside out. A kid’s had enough, grabs a shotgun and shoots his family’s brains to the walls. The papers are cheering, they got a best-seller and economy’s on the rise. I won’t be your teacher, I won’t be your preacher, won’t be a ruler or a boss. I won’t be a killer under your oppressing machine. I won’t be a man in a suit. I’m not from your world. No, I’m not the one. You can count me out.

I have the right to say what i want, as long as it’s not against the state or government. Fuck the cops and their fascist laws. Racist, homophobes, filled with ignorance. I have the right to do what I want, as long as it’s not against the state or government.

It all happened in a flick of time, the progression of humankind turned into total destruction and they call it civilization. Did you know what you created. Did you know the affection it has to the coming generations. Lay the burden on their shoulders. The world is coming to the end. The race is run, but you didn’t win. Now you got civilized society. We’re hanging on the brink, but you terrorize it. Don’t critisize it, ’cause they know it all.

The corporations stomp on people, those people have no other choice. You ignore it in your living room. You’re desensitized in your brainwashed mind. The others got the priviledge, the others can just die in their filth. What makes us superior to all the other species? A terrorist in a socially accepted way. Murderer in government’s paylist. An act of mankind’s intelligence. We’re hanging on the brink, but you terrorize it. Don’t critisize it, ’cause they know it all.

When I look into your eyes, I see them become jaded. They’re screaming for help, they’re screaming for acceptance. Find a place to belong, find a place to hide your fears. Dress your anger in racist clothes. It’s an outlet for your anger and frustration. Sure you’d say you hate me, but I think you hate yourself. Ignorance and hate, you know where it all sums up. Just get back up against the wall. It’s a kick in the head. Bloodstains & broken bones. Kick in the head in the name of white man’s pride. Kick in the head for the purity of white man’s colour. Do you like the sound when a body hits the concrete?

Are you scared of yourself, scared of what you might find? Someone puts the words in your big mouth. Never-ending peer pressure. Time to get some respect, ’cause "I’m not the one to fuck with!". You’re a slave to your past, a slave to your position. You’re a slave to your mind, you know only one solution. The pressure’s too high and you never asked a question? You see truth in someone’s lies. All I hear is words of contradiction. I see them coming. But I didn’t think twice. It’s five against one, smashed a bottle in his head. Say what you gonna do? When they’re coming for you! I did nothing wrong!

Running like a psycho, running from the truth. Trying to find a reason, trying to see it through. But the walls are closing. Everything falls down. When you feel got it, it’s cracking up again. I’m in a room full of people, but I’m all alone and the colours start to fade. I’m in a prison, where the murderers run free and everyone else are on a leash. I have dreams, but you try to kill them all, extinquish every spark. But I’ve fled too far for you to understand where I stand. I sit by the pile when it all comes down, when it all falls down, when it all gets burned, you couldn’t get me. When it’s all decayed.

You get turned on locking me in your cage of ridicule the rejects and the desperate. You try to be the master of all the keys. You thought you have the control over all living things. I’m in a world full of people, but I’m all alone and the colours start to fade. I’m in prison where the murderers run free, everyone else are on a leash. I have dreams, but you try to kill ’em all. Extinquish every spark. I’m waiting for the day when it all comes down
